Militarum Air-Mobile Chirurgical Hospices

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war- and where there is war, there are casualties, and the doctors who treat them. MACH converts the Only War system developed by Fantasy Flight Games and published by Cubicle 7 into a narrative game of trauma surgery, wound triage and treatment, where you play as the Imperium's finest chirurgeons, tasked with saving the lives of the ordinary men and women who fight for the safety of Humanity. MACH can be played as a standalone game, or incorporated into regular OW campaigns for a heavier medical focus. It includes, among many other things:

  • New Chirurgical Specialties, from the Praecuror, who rules the Theatre with an iron fist, to the Cauterist, who burns evils from the body.
  • New equipment, vehicles, skills, talents and special abilities.
  • An elaborate Chirurgery system, turning the treatment of injuries into a life-or-death race against the clock.
  • Optional cybernetic and malefic Chirurgery systems, for dealing with wounds that are technological or supernatural in nature.

Scrub in and grab your retractors, Chirurgeon. There are lives to be saved.

This is an incredible piece of writing, i've never felt the urge to play Only War and yet now here I am, paging through the book and trying to find the old MASH videotapes my grandpa kept.
