Wa.Zal 1.6.1:


It's another "medium-small" Wa.Zal patch update! 1.6.1 affects only the player-facing content in the expansion, and includes the following balance changes and bug fixes:

General Fixes:

  • Resized images to 1k pixels high to better fit Compconn's formatting (and so they load better)
  • Fixed improper ordering of the frames
  • Fixed several broken image links

 KS-3: 

  • Ikonoklasta Melee Suite, replace On Hit with: On Hit: This weapon does +2 bonus Burn damage for each other ally non-Drone character Engaged with your target, to a maximum of +6. 

KS-6:

  • Distributed Process Tap, replace effect with: When you activate this Protocol, select up to three willing allies within Sensor range. Each ally selected reduces their E-Defense by 2 and takes +1 Difficulty on Systems saves until the end of your next turn. Your mech gains a flat +1 bonus to Tech Attacks or the Heat inflicted by the Invade action for each ally targeted, in any combination. The bonus to Tech Attacks and/or Heat, but not the penalty on allied E-Defense and Systems saves, ends automatically if your Mech is ever Jammed or Impaired.
  • Overheat Sensors, replace effect with: Your target cannot make Tech Actions until the end of their next turn. On the turn after that, if they make a Tech Action, they take 3 Heat. This option may only be used once per enemy per scene. 

KS-7:

  • Automatic Targeting trait, replace with: Once per round, at the end of your turn, the ORANGE WORM may make one attack with an Aux weapon it has not already used during the turn as a Free Action. This attack takes +1 Difficulty to hit and cannot inflict Critical Hits. 
  • Wire-Guide System, replace effect with: Choose one Launcher, Rifle or Cannon: It gains Ordnance, Accurate and Seeking. If you miss with an attack with this weapon, you may take 1 Heat to immediately roll a second attack against a different target within range, provided that it is further away from you than the original target. This second attack cannot inflict Critical Damage. If this weapon has the Reliable trait, this mod decreases it to Reliable 1. 
  • Oberth Rocket Rifle, add Heat 2 (Self) and effect: This weapon counts as both a Launcher and a Rifle for the purposes of Systems, Mods and Talents. 
  • Top-Attack Targeting, increase SP cost to 4, replace effect with: Choose one Launcher, Rifle or Cannon: This weapon ignores Hard Cover, and gains: On Hit: once per round, up to three characters within Range 2 of the target must pass a Hull Save or become Prone.

TR-12:

  • Spatial Anchor trait, replace last point with: -Two pieces of size 1 hard cover of your choice within Burst 2 of your Mech become open spaces of Dangerous Terrain dealing Energy damage.
  • SVEJK-class NHP, append to the end of the description: The SVEJK's sudden intelligence lasts for as long as the GM deems plot-appropriate; this NHP is exactly as idiotic or as brilliant as the story demands.
